Your company

During this internship, you will work at InterCal Slovenija – part of the InterCal Group, which operates lime plants in Austria, Slovenia and Croatia and currently employs around 120 people. Intercal produces around 30 different products for a wide range of applications, from carbonated lime to slaked lime. Production is always at the cutting edge of technology in accordance with economic and ecological principles. For your internship at the Amiblu Tech Centre, we not only offer you a top salary, but also cover all travel and accommodation costs.

Your location

You will complete your internship at the InterCal Slovenija headquarters in Zagorje ob Savi. In addition to supplying quicklime to the steel industry, for the production of aerated concrete blocks and for wastewater treatment, this facility also produces hydrated lime and lime putty for building constructions. Zagorje ob Savi is located around 60 kilometres east of Ljubljana and is therefore an excellent place to visit the Slovenian capital.

Your job

Explore a dynamic internship tailored for economics students passionate about sales. Shadow professionals, in market activities and customer meetings. Engage in weekly sessions covering sales strategy, effective customer visits, and more. Contribute to crafting a commercial strategy for Slovenia, gaining exposure to diverse business functions and departments through time spent with colleagues of other departments.

Your responsibilities:

  • Sales engagement: actively participate in market activities and customer meetings, learning essential sales processes.
  • Weekly learning sessions: engage in weekly discussions on sales strategy, effective customer visits, and related topics.
  • Strategy Development: collaborate on crafting a comprehensive commercial strategy for Slovenia under mentor guidance.

Your skills

  • Academic background: currently pursuing a degree in economics or a related field.
  • Interest in sales: genuine interest in sales and a desire to build a career in this field.
  • Communication skills: strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage in customer interactions and articulate sales strategies.
  • Analytical thinking: ability to analyze sales data and market trends to contribute meaningfully to strategy development.
  • Adaptability: demonstrated ability to adapt to dynamic market conditions and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborative spirit: willingness to collaborate with colleagues across different departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of business operations.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English is required. Advanced knowledge of Slovenian would be a great advantage.
