Alpacem is the market leader for cement, concrete and raw materials in the Alpe-Adria region. With around 670 employees, the company produces high-quality cements, concretes, binders and raw materials at 26 locations in Austria, Italy and Slovenia. Alpacem aims to manufacture its products in a CO₂-neutral way by 2035. The course for this is now being set within the company. For your internship at the Alpacem, we not only offer you a great salary, but also cover all travel and accommodation costs.

You are going to be based at the Alpacem site in Wietersdorf. Alpacem’s entire business in the Alpe-Adria region is managed from here. Wietersdorf is also home to one of the two fully integrated Alpacem cement plants which is located in Carinthia’s Görtschitz Valley, around 50 kilometres from Klagenfurt. The surrounding area is characterised by an idyllic landscape that is ideal for sporting activities.

As an intern your main task will be the creation of a training program emphasizing the importance of CO₂-reduction within our company. This program will not only be taught on site in Wietersdorf, Austria, but also across international borders in Italy and Slovenia. While based in Austria, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with international teams, gaining a deeper understanding of our company’s international approach to sustainable practices. Your responsibilities:

• Develop the curriculum for the training program
• Create educational materials, including presentations, handouts, etc.
• Work with our team to ensure the program aligns with our company’s goals and objectives

• Interest in Climate Protection: A strong interest and commitment to climate protection topics will ensure authenticity and passion in your work
• Structured Approach: You should be able to organize and present content in a clear and coherent manner
• Presentation Skills: The ability to present content in an engaging and understandable way is crucial for effectively conveying our message on CO₂-reduction
• Communication Strengths: Clear and efficient communication with team members from various countries is essential.
• Empathy for Learners: You should be able to put yourself in the shoes of the learners to best deliver the teaching material.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is required. Advanced knowledge of German or Italian or Slovenian would be a great advantage.
• Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in technical or business administration. A focus or additional knowledge in sustainability or human resources would be ideal.
