Following the successful merger of HOBAS Europa and Amiantit Europa into Amiblu, local priorities will be set in production. In Poland, in Dąbrowa Górnicza (about 70 km northwest of Krakow), the new prefabricated fittings hall was inaugurated on 21 September. After technical approvals the production will be started up by the end of the year. On the opening day of the new hall, the fifteens anniversary of the original HOBAS factory was also celebrated.
With the new production hall, 1500 m² of additional production capacity, more flexibility and better working conditions have been created for current and future employees. We currently employ 195 people in Dąbrowa Górnicza, and 30 new jobs will be created through the new fittigs production. The Dąbrowa Górnicza site will in future be positioned as the center for sophisticated GRP elements in Europe. At the Gdańsk site, the second Amiblu plant in Poland, the focus is on the production of non-circular pipes. Due to the specialization on  product areas, delivery times can be shortened despite increasing demand. “We will be able to be more flexible towards our customers and the highly seasonal construction industry. Personally, I’m particularly pleased about the associated improvement in working conditions for our employees, “says plant manager Piotr Strzelczyk.
