LIME SMART ARCHITECTURE MINIMIZES ELECTRICAL POWER CONSUMPTION AND THE CO 2 BALANCE CONSERVING RESOURCES MILL OPTIMIZED! The Slovenian company Intercal ensures more sustainable use of machinery and less wear material at its Zidani Most site by optimizing the ball mill. Whereas 10 tons of high-quality ground lime were previously ground per hour, the project increased this quantity by 50 percent, reducing energy costs per ton of ground lime by currently five to ten percent. This is made possible by changing the ball charge and by precisely configuring the mill using the continuous analysis of process data.
