HIGH SPEED FOR THE ENVIRONMENT In 2019, Hobas Pipe USA invested half a million dollars at its Houston site to set up a new high-speed grinder for glass fiber-reinforced pipes, which works faster than all previous models. The company was able to reduce internal transport routes and thus save valuable time by operating the grinder right at the end of the production line. Previously, pipes with diameters over 2.4 meters had to be taken to a separate area for grinding. The consumption of electricity for grinding the pipes has also been reduced by 20 percent.
