HIGH-TECH PROCESS CONTROL The cement production facility at Salonit Anhovo in Slovenia was upgraded in early 2018 to include fully automated process control using AutoLab, plus optimized kiln control. The result has been improved energy use and more consistent and better product quality through up to 70,000 analyses of the raw material and products that are performed during the production process every year. A total of 1.8 million euros was invested in the control system. Increasing the number and accuracy of the analyses has achieved better uniformity of the material produced and has guaranteed a more precise and therefore more economical use of resources.
