With its 2,800 employees at 48 production and sales locations around the globe, the Wietersdorfer Group is in the midst of an ever faster process of change. ‟Old” industry is once again reinventing itself as part of this change. Today, digitization and a responsible approach to natural resources, employees and society are key features of Industry 4.0. Against this background and as pioneers in the industry, we place clear demands on ourselves not simply to embrace modern developments but to actively shape them. Sustainability and social responsibility are deeply anchored in the DNA of our family-run, traditional company as guiding principles from management level right through to individual employees and apprentices. Five environmental guidelines – sustainable, conserving resources, exemplary, transparent and prudent (page 11) – today define the strategic direction for the development of the Wietersdorfer Group in harmony with nature and society. In this context, a large number of future-focused projects have already been successfully implemented at our regionally rooted locations.
